    Because the machining is CNC machining, the size accuracy of aluminum plate before processing is very high (the plane gap of 250mm width cannot exceed 0.05mm), so it brings great challenges to the production.

    Aluminum extrusion of the tablet case

    1) in order to make the product uniform in structure and performance, the ingot should be homogenized. The homogenization process can be carried out according to the ordinary 6063 alloy.

    2) as the product belongs to the type of single variety and large batch, it is recommended to choose the ingot rapid heating furnace, and it is better to make the ingot temperature gradient.

    The reasons are as follows:

    First of all, the deformation of the ingot port cut by the current long ingot hot shearing machine is large, which affects the subsequent peeling effect and easily causes the ingot skin to flow into the extrusion product.

    Second, there are a lot of cracks in the shear, it is difficult to exhaust thoroughly during extrusion, will cause the extrusion product bubble;

    Third, the ingot is heated rapidly, which is beneficial to maintain the state after the ingot is homogenized;Fourth, gradient heating of the ingot (the temperature at the front end of the ingot is about 500℃, and the temperature at the end is about 460℃), which is conducive to reducing the formation of the shrinking tail of the extrusion product and the consistency of the mechanical properties of the product.

    From the comprehensive consideration of cost and ingot temperature control, I think it is best to heat with natural gas first, and then with induction furnace.

    3) hot peeling of ingot

    In order to avoid the surface of the ingot oxide skin and other sundries into the extrusion product, the ingot should be heated into the ingot tube to the "peeling" treatment, such as cast molten skin to get rid of.The thickness of the peeling depends on the diameter and mass of the ingot, usually 3 -- 5mm.

    4) quenching treatment

    As the product is in the state of 6063T6, the wall thickness is relatively thick and the plane clearance requirements are high.If air cooling, the cooling speed is too low, the quenching effect is not good, the product grain is too large, the mechanical properties are low.If the water tank or spray cooling, the cooling speed is too fast, and the cooling is not uniform, resulting in serious product deformation, out-of-tolerance plane clearance.To solve this problem, a combination of various cooling forms should be used.

    After the test, the best plan is the first 4-5 meters with wind fog mixture cooling, the product temperature to 250 degrees, and then 1-2 meters spray.Of course, spray layout to pay attention to, must be the product circumference of each point uniform cooling.After the quenching, the product temperature drops to about 100℃.If add a section of air cooling (4 meters is better), the effect is even better.

    This treatment can not only meet the requirements of cooling strength, give full play to the mechanical properties of the alloy, but also reduce the deformation of the product, ensure the requirements of plane clearance, and avoid the appearance of water marks, black spots and other defects.This is an important but often overlooked part of the process.
